Amanda Schutz
The Now We're Talking project was created by Amanda Schutz, a National Board Certified ESL/ELL Educator and Peer Coach in a public school district.
Amanda's passion for cultural diversity and racial equity has fueled her work both professionally and personally for more than 20 years. Amanda actively seeks out, participates in, and leads professional development locally and at a state-wide level.
Prior to her gaining her Masters Degree from Hamline University in teaching (ESL) and moving into the U.S. public school sytem, Amanda spent two years teaching English in Bangladesh as a U.S. Peace Corps Volunteer. Additionally, she spent time teaching primary grades in Costa Rica and the United Kingdom.
Amanda has coordinated district programs, acted as a peer coach to tenured teachers, facilitated professional development at a local, state, and national level, and taught at the elementary, middle, secondary and post-secondary levels.
